Configuration
=============

DrGPT offers flexible configuration options to customize its behavior for your needs.

Configuration File
------------------

DrGPT stores its configuration in a local file:

* **Linux/macOS**: ``~/.config/drgpt/config``
* **Windows**: ``%APPDATA%\drgpt\config``

The configuration file is created automatically when you first run DrGPT.

Environment Variables
---------------------

You can configure DrGPT using environment variables:

The configuration file uses a simple key-value format:

Security Considerations
-----------------------

API Key Security
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1. **Never commit API keys to version control**
2. **Use environment variables for automation**
3. **Regularly rotate your API keys**
4. **Use least-privilege API keys when possible**

Configuration File Permissions
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The configuration file should be readable only by your user:

Common Issues

**Config file not found**:
